Downward Dog is simply amazing! I moved to Boston in 2011 and found Tracy of Downward Dog, a winner of Boston A List. I had a busy job and a new puppy who needed to be trained, walked and cared for when I travelled. Tracy trained her so she developed good manners, introduced her to her best doggie friends and loved her when I was away. I don't have the right words to express my gratitude to Tracy for all she has done over the past 9 years. Overtime, she went from a dog walker to a valued friend and now, she is family! Tracy has that rare dog-magic that few people have. All three of our pups: Emma (1997-2011), Odo (since 2008) and Islay (since 2014) have taken to her immediately and learned some beautiful manners. Tracy doesn’t just walk the dogs; she has fun with them and offers good behavior coaching and counseling…to both dogs and people. She deeply cares about our well-being and has offered a relationship that has given us an extended family. We count on her for both regular and irregular requests, and completely trust that she always puts Odo and Islay’s well-being first.

Tracy Kelly has been a part of my family for the past 14 years. I met Tracy when I moved to Brookline and my dog, Oliver, was in need of a daily dog walker. From the moment Tracy and Oliver met, it was a very special bond and love that lasted for the next 8 years. Her commitment and compassion towards Oliver, especially as he aged, not only demonstrated her command of a dog’s physical and emotional needs but spoke volumes about Tracy as a person – she’s a good soul. After Oliver’s passing, an energetic, spunky puppy entered our lives – Truman. Tracy patiently cared and trained Truman to be obedient and well socialized with other dogs. She also did a terrific job of training his human mother!!!! When you entrust the care of your beloved dog to Tracy, your dog (and you!) receive far more in return. She’s family.

If Beya could talk (which at times her expressions suggest she can but is choosing not to) she would say that Tracy is simply the best. She has dogs, she takes her on walks, she lets her sleep over. What we would say is how blessed we feel that she is a part of our lives. There isn’t enough space in the box for me to express how great Tracy is so I have shared that I am more than happy to talk live to anyone who is contemplating using her services! Just give a shout-out!
